The birth dates for Philip and Margaret were obtained from Tennessee Cousins by Worth S. Ray. On this date he purchased 100 acres of land located on the waters of Little Chucky River from Charles Smith. This land joined property owned by his brother John Bible(See also Greene County, Tennessee deed book number 2, page 222 dated May 20, 1793). The Greene County, Tennessee tax list of 1792 listed him with 2 White Polls and 100 acres of land.
On February 10, 1796 Philip served on team to lay off a new road from John Literals on Little Creek to Conway Road via William Rankins place and through the gap of the Knobbs (Greene County, Tennessee Court of Common Pleas, page 425). In 1830 Philip was living in Greene County and owned 450 acres of land (Tax List and Census).
Philip passed away in 1840. He wrote his Will on December 21, 1837 and it was probated in Greene County, Tennessee on June 1, 1840. His Will mentioned only his wife Margaret, son Jacob and daughter Sarah. Philip was buried in Gum Springs Cemetery, Midway, TN. [1]
