Biography
Magdalena was not the daughter of the Moravian Tobias Bickel of Heidelberg, whose daughter Magdalena married Joseph Knauss and moved to North Carolina with two of her brothers.
It appears that Magdalena was the daughter of Tobias Bickel of Meyerstown, several of whose children were baptized by the Rev. John Caspar Stoever, who performed the marriage ceremony for Magdalena and her husband.

Magdalena Bickell of Lancaster County married John “Stehrer” of Cumberland County on 20 May 1777, per the records of Rev. John Caspar Stoever.[1]
