Biography

Research Notes / Profile History

James Jurney gives his birthdate as October 20, 1741, in Berks Co. PA, and baptism at Little Tulpehocken Church on November 8, 1741, but his gravestone [Find A Grave Memorial# 13622028] reads October 31, 1741. Is this discrepancy the calendar difference?

Egle's Notes and Queries, AV-1899, page 186 also has the above birth and baptism dates at Little Tulpehocken Church. Sponsors were John Nicholas Holder and wife.

Bickel-279 and Boeckel-3 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicates. Boeckel is the LNAB of the father.
