Florence was born in 1923. She was the daughter of Lewis Bicker and Fanny Christina Bicker.

On the 28th June 1941, Florence Alice was a bridesmaid at the marriage of her sister Rose Christina to Mr. John Peter Harriss at Ospringe parish church[1]

On the 7th August 1943, Florence Alice married Ronald Ernest Partridge at Ospringe, Kent, England.

"MR. R. E. PARTRIDGE - MISS F. A. BICKER - The ringing of the bells of Ospringe Parish Church marked the marriage there last Saturday of Mr Ronald Ernest Partridge of the Royal Marines, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Partridge of Stile Cottages, Brogdale Road, Faversham, and Miss Florence Alice Bicker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bicker of 4, Whiting's Cottages, Ospringe. The Vicar, Rev. C. F. Hodges officiated and a wedding march and other music was played by the organist Mr. F. A. Poultenay L.R.A.M, A.R.C.M, M.R.S.T.

Miss Bicker wore a dress of ivory satin with a headdress of orange blossom and carried a sweeping bouquet of deep red carnations. Her father gave her away. Bridesmaids were the Misses Gladys, Winifred and Peggy Partridge (bridegroom's sisters) and Miss Joyce Bicker (bride's sister). The two older ones, Gladys and Winifred, wore dresses of ice blue satin, and the younger pair, dresses of sky-blue taffetta with mob caps of the same material. The former carried bouquets of sweat peas and the later posies of mixed flowers. Mr. J. P. Harris of the George Inn, The Mall, carried out the duties of the best man. A horseshoe was presented to the bride by her niece Miss Patricia Mahoney. A reception followed the ceremony. The couple received numerous gifts from relatives and friends. Gifts by the bridegroom to the bridesmaids were necklaces to the older girls and signet rings to the younger ones."[2]
