Biography

William Biddix was an Appalachian.

William "Will" Biddix was born about 1870 (which date is based on the year of his first child's birth). More than likely, he was born the Mitchell County, North Carolina. It is presently (2022) unknown who Will's parents were.

Will's last child, Chestley Biddix was born in 1910 (if he was the father), and as Will does not appear in the 1920 census with his wife, it is assumed that he died some time during that decade, hence the 1915 uncertain death date.

There is only one source found for Will so far. It is the death certificate for his oldest child, Lula Biddix where Will is listed as the father. None of the other children's death certificates indicate the name of a father.^[1]

Research Notes

There was a William A. Biddix living in Grassy Creek Township, Mitchell County, North Carolina in 1880 at about the right age for this to be the same Williams as of this profile.^[2]
