Daughter of Andrew and Margaret (Muxfeldt) Bierwirth. She was confirmed in the Evangelical faith and attended school in Climbing Hill, Iowa.
She married Fred Tabke on March 23, 1927, in Moville. The couple farmed in the Moville area for 32 years. They then farmed in Minnesota for two years. They returned to Moville in 1973. He died in 1976.
She was a member of Moville United Methodist Church and the "Grandmas." She was a past member of Moville/Climbing Hill Garden Clubs, Sewing Club, 4-H, Farm Bureau, order of the Eastern Star, White Horse Mounted Patrol Stablemates and Morningside Saddle Club.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Dean and Jan of Montrose, S.D.; three daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Bob Christensen of Auxvasse, Missouri, Shirlene and Don Stubbs of Houston, Texas, and Kathy and Gene Krueger of Spirit Lake, Iowa; four sisters, Elsie Phillips of Anthon, Marie Spahn of Moville and Elnora Campbell and Mae Towers, both of Ventura, California; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-gratidchildren-; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
