Asa married Rebecca Richardson on 19 May 1766, in Brookfield, Worcester County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Together, Asa and Rebecca had a total of eleven children during their marriage.

1. Sally Bigelow, b. 31 Oct 1766; d. l0 Apr 1853; m. (#1) Simon Rice on 01 Jan 1786. He was the son of Jason and Deborah (Force) Rice. Sally's second husband was (#2) Abijah Harrington (his second marriage).. They were married on l0 Nov 1818 . Sally had a total of 13 children, all by her first marriage.[2] Simon died circa 1812, in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, United States. Sally and Abijah were married on 10 November 1818. Abijah lived from 1743 to 1821, and was the son of Jonas Harrington.
2. Samuel Bigelow, b. 03 Dec 1767; d. 10 Aug 1833 in Braintree, Massachusetts, United States; m. _ May 1791, Levina Rice; two children.[3]
3. Asa Bigelow, b. 18 Nov 1769; d. 20 Aug 1849, in Troy, New York; m. Abigail Washburn; two known children.[4]
4. Hannah Bigelow, b. 02 Mar 1771; d. ____ ; m. 13 Feb 1790, in Moses Hobbs; seven children.[5]
5. William Bigelow, b. 15 Jan 1773; d. _ Feb 1854, in East Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony; m. 20 Apr 1797, Mary Livermore; two children.[6]
6. Elisha Bigelow, b. 17 Nov 1774; d. _ May 1810, in Dummerston,Vermont; m. 30 Jan l799, in Pittsford,Vermont, Mary Bigelow. four children.[7]
7. Lucy Bigelow, b. 08 Feb 1776; d. 19 Oct 1839; m. 15 Apr 1795, Moses Bemis; res. Brookfield, Massachusetts. Two children.[8]
8. Amasa Bigelow, b. 18 Mar 1778; d. 14 Jan 1872, New Braintree, Massachusetts, United States; m. (1) 03 Apr 1805, Ruth Richardson; (2) 17 May 1826, Hannah (Lee) Harding; (3) Lucia Richardson. 6 children.[9]
9. Artemas Bigelow, b. 14 Oct 1781; d. 08 Feb 1860, in New Salem, Massachusetts; m. 23 Dec 1810, Eunice Thomas. Four children.[10]
10. Mary Bigelow, b. 30 Jan 1784; d. 07 Feb 1807, in Brookfield, Massachusetts; unmarried.[11]
11. Esther Bigelow, b. 13 Feb 1786; d. 14 Jan 1829, in Brimfield, Massachusetts, United States; m. 09 Sept 1810, Nathan Hitchcock; Five children.[12]
Asa served during the American Revolution. He enlisted in the Brookfield militia in 1778, and was credited with four months service.
Death and Burial
Asa passed away on 22 Sep 1807, in Brookfield, Worcester County, Massachusetts, and was laid to rest in the Brookfield Cemetery. Rebecca, Asa's wife, died in Brookfield on 31 Jan 1833.
