In the 1841 England Census William Bignell 50 born abt 1791 not in the county, surgeon was head of his household in Court Lodge lane, Appledore, Kent, England. Other Household Members were Ruth Bignell 40 not in the county, Naomi Bignell 15 Kent, and Fanny Bignell 8 Kent. [2]
In the 1851 England Census William Bignell 67 born abt 1784 in Stoke, Devon, England, surgeon, was head of his household in Appledore, Kent. Other Household Members were Ruth Bignell 57 Cerne, Dorset, and their daughter Fanny Bignell 19 Appledore, Kent. [3]
