May Bignell[1][2] was born prematurely on 14 March 1923[3] at Leonora, Western Australia, the daughter of Florence Castledine and Albert Bignell. The first of their four children, she would have had two younger sisters and one younger brother.

May Bignell died young.
Sadly, May did not live beyond the day of her birth.[4][2]

Her birth and death were registered at Mount Margaret.[1][5]
