WEDDING
LAURIE— BIGNELL
Mr. H. A. Bignell's residence at Barrlngton on 20th April was the scene of a pretty wedding when Evelyn Alice, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bignell, was united in holy bonds of matrimony to Edmund Clyde, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Laurie, of Maudville, Gloucester River, the Rev. H. W. Rogers officiating.
The bride was charmingly gowned in ivory crepe de chene and silver lace and wore the customary wreath and veil and carried a shower bouquet of cactus dahlias and asparagus.
Miss Kitty Bignell, who attended as bridesmaid, was prettily dressed in powder blue crepe de chene and carried a posie of pink cactus dahlias and maiden hair fern.
Mr. Fred Farley acted as best man. The wedding march was played by Miss Winnie Deards.
The reception was held in the large dining room which was tastefully decorated by girl friends of the bride. Mrs. Bignell receiving the guests in a frock of black morocain. About 30 guests were seated at the breakfast, the Rev. Rogers presiding. After the usual toasts were honored the happy couple motored to Gloucester and left by train for the northern rivers. The bride's going away dress was cinnamon crepe-de-chene with hat and shoes en suite.
Their future home will be at Maudville, Gloucester River.[1]
