Laura was born December 6, 1866 in Guysborough, Nova Scotia. She was a daughter of Rev. John George Bigney and Catherine Elizabeth (Seaboya) Bigney of Nova Scotia.[1][2]
She married Dr. Edward Jeffers on July 27, 1895 at Parrsboro.[3] At the time, Edward was a medical student. He later became a Physician.
They moved to Boston and had one son before moving back to Nova Scotia, settling in the Parrsboro area.
Laura outlived both her husband her son. Edward passed away in 1936, and Joseph in 1951. Laura passed away on June 2, 1952 in Kings County, Nova Scotia and was interred at Hantsport.[2]
