Biography

Anna was born circa 1872 in Margate, Prince Edward Island.^[1]. She was baptized on November 7 of that year. Her parents were John George Bigney and Catherine Elizabeth (Seaboya) Bigney.^[2] Her father, was a Methodist minister.

Her family moved around a lot as a result of her father's occupation. By 1881, they were living in Caledonia, Queens County, Nova Scotia and by 1901 they were living at Hantsport, Hants County.

She married John Wesley Webb, an Electrician from Parrsboro, on March 24, 1903 at Hantsport. Born in Windsor, he was a son of chemist John W. Webb and Rebecca (Black) Webb.^[3]

John may have already been living in Illinois by 1899 (The 1910 census indicates he immigrated in 1899 while Annie immigrated in 1903) They were certainly living in Mount Carroll Township by 1910 where John was the superintendant of an electric light plant. They were also recorded there in 1920 and 1930.

They only had one child, Doris, who was born in 1913.

John passed away in 1934 and was interred at Windsor, Nova Scotia.^[4]

Annie lived at least until 1940. She was recorded living in Chicago at that time.
