Biography

Cornelius was born on December 15, 1871 at Albany in Clinton County, Kentucky. He was the son of Jefferson Bilbrey and Winnie Fite. He married Sarrah Cravens about 1892. He passed away on May 2, 1953 at Dayton in Montgomery County, Ohio.

Obituary,

C. M. Bilbrey, age 82, died in Dayton, Ohio, Saturday, May 2 after an illness of about 9 weeks. The body was brought back to Oneida for burial. Mr. Bilbrey was a splendid citizen, was loved and admired by all who knew him. He is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters, Loten Bilbrey of Dayton, Ohio, Marion Bilbrey of Glasgow, Ky., Carl Bilbrey address not known, Mrs. Jim King of Oneida, Mrs. Ralph Bowden of Dayton, Ohio, 1 brother, Nenvil Bilbrey of Pickett County, Tenn., one sister Albright Wright of Wilder, Tenn., 26 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. Funeral service was held at the First Baptist church at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Roy Blevins officiating. Burial was in the Reed cemetery. Grandchildren acted as pallbearers.
