The daughter of John Bilby and his first wife, Frances (Hershey) Bilby, Luella Bilby was born in Norwalk Township, Ohio [1] in 1874. Her mother died in 1878 and Luella's father lived with his children in Norwalk Township in 1880.[2]
Luella married James Monroe Moore, the son of John Harvey Moore, Jr. and Martha Ann Gearhart, marrying around 1894[citation needed] and having one daughter together. They made their home in 1900 in Montgomery Township, Ohio, outside Columbus, where her husband worked as a rail yard brakeman.[3] By 1920, they had migrated west to Eugene, Oregon, where her husband had taken work for a railroad company as a switchman.[4] In 1930, residing in Eugene, her husband worked as a yard man for the Southern Pacific Railroad Company.[5][6]
Lula Moore passed away in Eugene, Oregon[citation needed] at the age of 74 and is buried at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.[7]
