Biography
Robert was born in 1857. Robert was the son of Robert and Jenefer Bilkey and baptised on 21 September 1856 at St Ludgvan & Paul the Apostle Church, Ludgvan. His father was a farmer in Cornwall.
Robert Bilkey migrated from England to New Zealand.
With his parents he emigrated to New Zealand on board the ship "Bombay". This sailed from London on 25 November 1864, when Robert was only a young boy of about 5.
Robert married in 1888. His marriage to Anna Louisa Potter, an immigrant from Ireland, took place on 11 July 1888.
He passed away in 1940 at the home of his daughter in Rotorua.
