Stephen was born in 1821 and he died on 1 May 1892[1][2]
Justice of the Peace Stephen Billings died at the Billings homestead, which is a century old, at Verplancks Point on Saturday evening of pneumonia. He was very well known throughout Westchester county, having been Coroner for one year and a Justice of Sessions for three terms. Last spring he was reelected Justice of the Peace for the sixth term. At one time he was an extensive brick manufacturer. He had been married twice, and leaves a wife and two married daughters. He was a Democrat.[3]
