Biography
Donald was born on March 16, 1920 in Hainesville, New Brunswick. He was a son of Woodford Billings and Mammie (Brawn) Billings.[1]
He married Pauline Patricia Currie on August 9, 1948 in Burton, New Brunswick. She was a daughter of Gordon Currie and Annie (Allen) Currie. At the time of his marriage, Donald was a truck driver.[2]
Don was a mechanic by trade and operated a service station at Upper Hainesville from 1950 until June 2008. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed snowmobiling and camping. He was a member of the Staples Settlement Baptist Church.[3]
Donald passed away on May 16, 2009 in Fredericton, New Brunswick and was interred at Central Hainesville Cemetery.[3]
