Sorry, but it might be a while until I can get back to you.

Presently unable to spend as much time as I would like on WikiTree. Will do my best to keep up with email and messages. Please add "urgent" or similar to anything time sensitive. Thanks!

Some people have never read the entire speech, given in regards to the Great Depression. A few lines: From Franklin Delano Roosevelt:

This great Nation will endure as it has endured, will revive and will prosper. So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself—nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.[1]

My background is medicine, but I am an artist at heart. Genealogy is just plain fun, and I find it fascinating. It's like a treasure hunt, mystery solving, and living history all at once, I don't know whether I would pursue it without WikiTree though. Rabidly anti-commercialism and anti-media/propaganda, I love the idea that this is our tree and we own it. I love the spirit of generosity and comradery here. After all, it is our tree, not my tree. That's the truth. Oh yes, and also important is the principle of accuracy and documentation. That's the scientist in me, evidence based and all that jazz. So ... Hello everyone. I am so happy to be part of this WikiTree. Thank you!

Hi! The maiden name of Edmund Scarburgh's wife is known; it was Smith. The only evidence supporting "Butler" is Edmund Scarburgh the younger claiming a Robert Butler as headright. I have a copy of the will of Edmund Smith, father of Hannah Smith; he names "my daughter Anna Scarbrughe alias Smith" (also named, grandson Charles Scarbrughe, with a bequest of four marks.)

Hi Cynthia,

Wondering if you received an answer from a post 2 years ago asking why a profile was disconnected from the parents. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Scarborough-56 I believe the disconnect is a mistake. See http://espl-genealogy.org/MilesFiles/site/p201.htm#i20094

The Scarborough/Scarburgh line is becoming quite a mess due to the different name spelling. Any help is appreciated. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Scarburgh-41 Thanks, ~Pam

Cont. agreement before adding to the profile. Quite frankly I don't want to leave another profile because someone has jumped into help and confused what I am working on . There info on that profile is in flux right now and is going to be rearranged and info is going to be moved and changed.

Hey Cynthia please talk to Bree Ogle and I before editing Gray-688. Bree and I are trying to clean up the confusion of the wives. We are trying to keep track of all the work done. So if you add anything thing please add your name. I have found a reference at Virginia State Library that someone is looking up for me. We have found that the reference about Avid Turkey being a wife is invalid. We have to 're-work the whole profile. We are actively working this profile. All the first names ARE from one woman. Margaret Annis ( Anis , Annie) Valentine. I am waiting for the source to get given to me. Rebecca Hutton can be verified sourced by a statement from Thomas Gray. Mary can be sourced. Beer and I are collaborating , we are also sharing info with someone else. We want to reach .

Hi, I ran into this possible duplicate profile while working the suggestion report. I see that you had left a comment on Dorothy Billings Billups-2 profile page a couple of years ago. Dorothy Bluff Bluff-1

is an orphaned profile. What little I could find seems to point to them being the same person and the parent connection questionable.

I believe I explained about the 1830 census..but that may have been somewhere else..On 1830 census TRANSCRIPT, it shows Robb Ellison Senior..On IMAGE of original, it is written Robt Ellison Junr..By simply viewing other names on page, you can see how capital J is written, and how capital S is written, and you can also see that the first name is Robt with the t hovering above the line..Robert is written that way on censuses very often..If I said there was an error in the census itself, I must have been in a hurry, because the census itself is clear..It's the transcription that is wrong..And I did put the correction on the site of the census transcription..I'll check the links you provided tomorrow..Thanks.
