W.E. BINKLEY DIES IN OHIO
Former Resident Of This Community Had Been Ill More Than A Year.
William Elmer Binkley, formerly a resident of Lovington and well known in this community, died at his home in Oberlin, Ohio, Tuesday of last week. Death was due to dropsy [congestive heart failure], from which Mr. Binkley had been a patient sufferer for the past year or more. Since last March he had been unable to lie down when he slept and at times his suffering was intense. Death came as a relief to his hours of pain.
The body was brought to Lovington Thursday morning of last week and taken to the home of Mrs. Binkely's mother, Mrs. Sarah Neff. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Christian church, of which the deceased was a member. Rev. D.D. Dick, Pastor of the church, conducted the services. Interment was in the Kellar cemetery.
The Pall Bearers were Ed Harmon, C.W. Williams, Geo. E. Foster, Erwin Houseworth, C.A. Redman and Glenn T. Foster. All with the exception of the latter were brothers-in-law of the deceased.
