Sara married Johann Leonard Moser (1714-1782) in May 1746, Frederick Co., MD. He was born in 1710 in Germany and died July, 1782, in Surry Co., NC. After his death Sarah married Edward Nathaniel Bartley on 9 Nov 1783.^[3]

Last Will and Testament of Sarah Binckele Moser Bartley ^[4]

I, Sarah Bartley widow do make this my last will and testament, and first my will is that my bed and furniture shall belong to such of my children in whose house I die.

My clothes shall be divided among my four daughters or the survivor of them~ I wish to be buried at the burying ground where my first husband Leonard Moser is buried. and I give six dollars to my executors for the purpose of procuring tomb stone for him and myself.

My household furniture shall be sold by public sale and the proceeds there from and all my personal estate shall to be equally divided among my children, Sarah Volk, Peter Moser, Francis Moser, Christian Moser, Henry Moser, Michael Moser, John Moser, Ann Mary Wolff, Elizabeth Hess and Christina Geiger first deducting the above six dollars and burying expenses~ And I do appoint Henry Moser and Peter Moser executors of this my last will and testament. I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 10th day of February 1815

Elizabeth Harris, June 12, 2016:

1. "He and his second wife, Sarah Binckele, joined Graceham Moravian Church in Frederick County. Leonard came to Wachovia in the summer of 1773 to look at land." "An entry in the Records of the Moravians in North Carolina indicates that in 1773 Leonard visited the settlements of Bethabara, Wachovia, and Bethania "to look for land". He was accompanied by Adam Spach. The entry also refers to Leonard's brother from Stinking Quarter as being the third member of the party. Many researchers believe his brother to have been Adam Moser who arrived aboard the ship, James Goodwill, in 1728. Adam had settled in Orange County, NC. Frederick Moser is reported to have also lived in Orange County, NC." ^[5]

• Leonard Jr. and Michael, and possibly some of the other older children, seem to have remained in Maryland when their parents moved to North Carolina.
• After Leonard's death in 1782, his widow Sarah married Edward Nathaniel Bartley on November 9, 1783. Her rapid remarriage may have been prompted by a court order that she have her children bound out, and she seems to have sent the two youngest sons, Henry and John, to Maryland at this time. Henry testified on the pension application filed by Michael Moser's widow in 1856 that he married in Maryland before he and Michael left for North Carolina in the autumn of 1790. John Moser was also back in North Carolina by at least 1795, when he married Polly Smith. ^{[citation needed]}
• Named in her father's will 1791 as wife of Edward Bartley: We need a will book and page citation for Peter's will. It will be in Stokes Co. NC.
• Date of Birth listed as February 24, 1733 in the Records of the First Moravian Church, City of York, York County, Pennsylvania ^[6]

Leonard Moser lived in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and Frederick County, Maryland early on and married Maria Kocher in 1744 at the Middletown Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick County (at the time part of Prince George's County).^{[citation needed]}
