Biography

When Lena (Lina) Binnig was born on February 4, 1873, her father, Wilhelm, was 42, and her mother, Karoline, was 37. She married Edward Sawyer Lawrence on June 18, 1899, in Perry, Ohio. They had six children in 15 years. She died on November 5, 1961, in Perry, Ohio, at the age of 88.

A native of Baden, Germany she was married to Edward Lawrence Sr. in Perry, June 18, 1898. Mr. Lawrence died in 1942 Mrs. Lawence was a member of the Perry Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. York of Perry and Mrs. Alice Woidtke of Painesville; sons, Carl, Harold, Edward, and Glen Lawrence of Perry, 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Behm Funeral Home in Madison from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 pm Wednesday. Rev. Alvin Arnold, pastor of the Perry Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery. .
