Edwin Birch was born 12th April 1860 ^[1][2][3] in Winkfield, Berkshire, England, the son of John & Martha Birch.

Edwin Birch, full age, Bachelor, School Master M.I.S., of Feltham, (son of Johan Birch, Traveller) & Mary Ann Craig, full age, Spinster, of Feltham, (daughter of Hugh Craig, Inspector M.I.S.) were married 9th March 1886 in the Parish Church of Feltham, Middlesex, England according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England after Banns by William A. Newton, Chaplain M.I.S. Edwin & Mary both signed. Witnesses were Hugh Payne Craig, Emma Craig, Hugh H. S. Craig & F. E. Cox.^[4][5]

Edwin Birch of 13 Fordsbridge Road, Ashford, Middlesex, England died aged 87, on 29th February 1948.^[6][7] Probate of his estate was granted at London 29th June 1948 to Hugh Hamilton Craig Birch, wholesale tobacconist and Esmee Margaret Hill (wife of George Francis Edmund Hill).^[7]
