Research Notes
Disambiguation
The subject of this profile is not the William Bird residing in Grayson Co. as enumerated in the 1830 Federal Census.[1]The former would have been listed as 20-30 years old and his first child was not born until 1834. The latter was listed as between 30-40 years old and had three boys and four girls living in his household in 1830.
Origins
The only Byrd mentioned in early Russell Co. records is Henry Bird,[2][3]who last appears in Russell Co. in 1802 and reappears nearly 30 years later in Hawkins Co., Tennessee. He is most likely William's father.
