Biography

Jane was born in 1863. She is the daughter of Joseph Bird and Mary Goulding.

1881 Census has Jane in London as an apprentice dressmaker., in Duke Street, in the home of Agnes Wharton formerly of Soulby. With her is her sister Mary age 29.
