Biography

Sarah was born about 1825. She was the daughter of Francis Bird and Rhoda Schamerhorn and wife of Charles Hardin, whom she married in Washington Co., Kentucky on 3 Feb 1853. She passed away after 1880.

Research Notes

Sarah's relationship with Francis is inferred due to her age (born 1824) and her proximity in the 1850 Census (6 households away from Francis). She was living nearby with son James M. Bird (age 5); he is believed to be the same person later records sometime refer to as "Milton Hardin." At that time she had no husband and was in the household of James Hardin.
