James, son of Nathan's first marriage, was born 1-7-1759, and died
10-9-1797, just 8 months after his youngest son, James Jr., was born.
He married Sarah Case when he was about 21 years old. Sarah was the
same age, her birthdate being June 14, 1759. Sarah died March 3, 1820.
James was 36 years old when he died.
