Capt. David Birdsey (12 May 1748 (then) Hartford County, Connecticut - 12 Sep 1825), was said to have been a son of John Birdsey and Sarah ( ) Birdsey.[1]
He married: (2)? 18 Jan 1805 in Connecticut, to Abigail Spencer (died 25 May 1818);[2] (3)? on 25 Dec 1818 in Connecticut to Anna ( ) Wetware died 4 Mar 1835, age 86), former wife of Joseph Wetmore (died 19 Aud 1814)[3]
David died at age 77 on 12 Sep 1825 in Middletown. A death notice is indexed as having appeared in the Litchfield American Eagle, 26 Sep 1825. [4]
Capt. David Birdsey settled on the hill west of the railroad crossing. His children were Sarah, and two children who died in infancy. He lived, seemingly cheerful and happy, on this salubrious and lonely high hill. His first wife died in 1804. He married again, and his second wife died in 1818.
