When Joannah Birdseye was born, her father, Abel, was 29, and her mother, Comfort, was 27.
She married Ephraim Watkins on November 21, 1727, in her hometown. They had two children during their marriage.
She died on February 17, 1758, in Orange, New York, at the age of 49, and was buried in the Saint Davids Cemetery in Orange County, New York.
