Eunice Birdseye was born 5 January 1715/6 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut Colony to parents Abel Birdseye and Comfort Welles.[1] She was named in honor of her sister [[Birdseye-115|Eunice] who died just a few months after her birth.
