James Birdsong was born on January 30, 1820 in Barren County, Kentucky, United States, son of William Birdsong (1798–1863) and Winnifred Allee (1801–1886).
James died on April 1, 1871, aged 51. He was buried in Allen Cemetery, Collins, St.[1]
