Biography
Jonathan (John) (J J) Crittenden Birdsong was born on 18 Oct 1817 in Trigg, Kentucky to parents Jesse Richard (J R) and Elizabeth (Betsy) Grasty. He married first Nancy Elizabeth Mitchell on 26 Oct 1837 in Trigg, Kentucky. Children: William Masa 1839–1900, Elizabeth A. 1842-1870, John Jordon Crittendon 1844–1877, David D 1845–1850, Jane Ventura 1848–1859 Victoria Jane 1850-1870 King George 1853–1913, Elijah Achillus Calloway 1855–1941, Reuben Crittendon 1859–1963. After Nancy died in 1870 he married second Sarah Elizabeth Howard on 1872 in Kentucky. He married third Susan Elizabeth (Betty) Settles in 1894 in Kentucky. He died in 1894 in Trigg, Kentucky, and was buried in Cumberland Cemetery, Golden Pond, Trigg Co., Kentucky.
