Benjamin was born in about 1835. He was baptised in June.^[1] His parents were Henry and Catherine.

He married Mary Ann Turk in 1865.^[2]

He married Jane Baker in 1874.^[3]

They immigrated to New Zealand in 1874 aboard the Assaye.^[4]

He passed away in 1915.^[5]
