Percy was born in 1923. He was the son of Archibald Birtzer and Edna Green. He passed away in 2003.

Obituary for Percy Delbert Birtzer:

Percy Delbert Birtzer, 79, of Cleghorn passed away early Wednesday morning, May 28, 2003. Percy was born October 30, 1923, to Archie and Edna Birtzer in Cleghorn and married Etta Falch on Jun 11, 1947, at St. Bridget's Church in Seymour.

They bought and operated Birtzer's Grocery Store in Cleghorn for 18 years. Percy worked as the road maintenance patrolman in the Town of Pleasant Valley from 1961 - 1987. He was a member of St. Raymond's Catholic Church for 53 years. He as a member of the Moose Lodge 1408. Percy loved to dance, golf, hunt, play dart ball and cards and always enjoyed telling a good joke. He will be missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Etta, of Cleghorn; children, Rick of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Connie (Jerry) Rindal of Fall Creek, and Steve (Mary) of Hudson, Wis.; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Eckwright of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norman and Earl; sister, Marciel Arneson; and daughter-in-law, Priscilla.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2003 at St. Raymond Catholic Church with Father Paul Gitter officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Eau Claire, Wis.
