Mr. Bishop was the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bishop, and was born at Cassilis in the Mudgee district, in 1878. For 30 years he carried on pastoral pursuits in the Walgett district where he was extremely well known. Selling his properly there some four years ago he came to live a retired life in Holbrook soon after. He had a great disposition and when he lost his sight some 1? years ago. he never gave up hope that perhaps some day he would regain it. He is survived by his wife, one son (Driver Ron Bishop, A.I.F.), three grandsons, two sisters, Eva (Mrs. E. A. Hunter and Miss Caroline Bishop, two brothers (Alfred and Arthur), all of Holbrook and district.
