Biography

Lewis was born in 1828. He was the son of Aaron Bishop.

He married 15 Sep 1853, Rebecca Sophia Fitch. They had 5 children.

In 1871, Lewis, farmer, 42, Sophia, 37, Rosena, 16, Willie, 8 and Judson, 5 were residing in Kentville, Kings Co., Nova Scotia.

Lewis passed away in 1880.

In 1881, Sophia, hotel keeper, widow, 47, Wiley, 18, Judson, 16, Winkworth, 8 and Hannah Derby, 45 were residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

In 1910, Rosena Davidson, widow, 52, Sophia Bishop, mother, widow, 77, Edna Bishop, niece, 15, Carrie Bishop, niece, 13, Wiley Bishop, niece [sic], 9 and Marrietta, niece, 5 were residing in Oakland, Alameda Co., California. Rosena and Sophia were born in Canada. The children were all born in California. They were the orphaned children of Rosena's brother Wylie S.
