Hattie Mae Bishop was born on March 13, 1907 in Roanoke, Virginia, United States, daughter of George Rufus Bishop (1880–1947) and Minnie Vera Snodgrass (1878–1942).
Hattie married James Joseph Stafford (born March 15, 1903 in Roanoke; son of Welton Scott Stafford (1879–1904) and Laura Alice (Madagan) Stover (1879–1949)).
Hattie died on July 4, 1981 in Roanoke, aged 74. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton.[1]
