Just saw an original document facsimile at https://archive.org/details/recordofdescenda00cone/page/4/mode/2up, and Jan 14, 1742 is definitely the marriage date, at least in that record, "Record of the descendants of John Bishop, one of the founders of Guilford, Connecticut in 1639. Compiled by William Whitney Cone and George Allen Root".
Sarah, b Aug 28, 1715; md Jan 14, 1742, James Landon., pretty sure "md" is "married" not "died" so I suspect the transcription of the other item you cite is probably a mistake. Is there any image available of the original document? (We should be so lucky!)

If still disagree she should be removed from spouse with notes refuting marriage. Also sourcing for death date difference
