The Vital Records of Newbury, Massachusetts record a marriage between Benjamin Bishop and Lydia Goodwin on March 18, 1740 (1739 old style).[2] The Vital Records of Newbury list several children of Benjamin and Lydia Bishop born between 1741 and 1746, but do not list Lydia's birth.[3] The Vital Records of Rowley, Massachusetts, Vol. I, Births, list a baptism on April 23, 1753 of Lydia Bishop, daughter of Benjamin Bishop, with no mother listed.[4] The Vital Records of Rowley list a Benjamin Bishop dying of old age on February 23, 1793.[5] The Vital Records of Rowley do not list a death of Lydia Bishop.
