Biography

According to Tangled Roots, "He was a shoemaker, tanner and farmer at Canaan, N.S."

He married 1 Sep 1836, Mary Gertridge. She was born in 1819 in Gaspereau, died in 1888 and is buried in the Canaan Cemetery, Canaan, Kings Co.

In 1861, Ebenezer was residing in Kentville, Kings Co. with a family consisting of 7 males and 4 females.

In 1871, Ebenezer, farmer, 65, Mary, 50, Mary E., 26, Ida M., 19 and Percy [sic] L., 11 were residing in Kentville.

In 1881, Eben, farmer, 75, Mary, 62 and Price, 21 were residing in Kentville.

Ebenezer wrote his Last Will and Testament in Horton, leaving bequests to his wife Mary and sons Burton B. and Freeman.

Ebenezer died 1 May 1885 and is buried in the Canaan Cemetery, Canaan, Kings Co.
