Caroline (Bishop) Burden is a part of US Black heritage.
1914 marriage record of her son George states her name as Caroline Carter. Was that her married name, or perhaps she had remarried and in 1914 was alive and named Carter?

On May 14, 1855, Caroline Boren made oath that on April 15th last, Berry, the property of William Hunter, did come to where her son Hamp was fishing and did raise a fuss with him. The jury found the boy not guilty.
Caroline Bishop was born about 1822.[1][2][3][4] Caroline Bishop married Oliver Burden. She passed away after 1880.[5]
