On 30 March 1847, Oremal married Phebe Jane Johnson, daughter of Russell Johnson and Phebe Eddy, in Richville, New York.[2] The family is living in De Kalb, St. Lawrence, New York in 1850.[3]

Oremal died at age 48 on 17 February 1866, and is buried in the Ontario Village Cemetery in Ontario, Wayne County, New York.[5]
