Biography

Robert was born in March 1818 in Linthlithgow, Scotland (1851 census says born Enborne, Linlithgow). Birth information has not yet been confirmed. He married Margaret Taylor in June 1847 in Muiravonside, Stirling, Scotland and 4 of their 9 children were born in Muiravonside before they emigrated to Victoria, Australia. They soon purchased land in the Barinhup region of Victoria and 5 more children were born. Robert died at his residence "Meadowbank" in Baringhup in Dec 1911 at the age of 92 years and 9 months.
