Rachel was born 15 Sep 1763 in Horton Township, KIngs Co., Nova Scotia, the daughter of Captain William and Jemima (Calkins) Bishop.
She married 27 Dec 1785 in Horton Township, Frederick Fitch and they had 9 children.
She died 25 Jun 1808, aged 39, 2 months after the birth of her youngest child and is buried in the Old Burying Ground, Wolfville, Kings Co., Nova Scotia.
