Biography
When William Albert Bishop was born on March 23, 1844, in Nova Scotia, Canada, his father, Robert, was 34 and his mother, Rebecca, was 28.[1]
He married first, 10 Jul 1872, Jane Corkum. She was born circa 1851, the daughter of George and Jane Corkum. She died 20 Oct 1873 and is buried in the Lower Horton Cemetery, Grand Pré, Kings Co.
He married second, 27 Aug 1874, Mary Alice Dodge. She was born in 1854, the daughter of James and Phoebe Dodge.
In 1881, William, farmer, 36, Mary, 26, Nina M., 7, Odessa, 5 and Manson, 1 were residing in Gaspereaux.
In 1891, William, farmer, 46, Mary, 36, Odessa, 15, Edward, 9, William, 7, Elisha, 4 and Ernest, 1 were residing in Gaspereaux.
He was married three times and had six sons and three daughters with his second wife.
He married 30 Sep 1896, Emma Olivia Eagles as his third wife.
In 1901, William, farmer, 55, Emma, 42, Edward, 18, William, 16, Elisha, 13, Ernest, 12 and Percy, 7 were residing in Horton, Kings Co., Nova Scotia.
He died on September 29, 1929, in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 85,[1] and was buried in Bishopville Cemetery.[2]
