Biography

First married Joseph Wadsworth, son of Joseph and Lydia (Brown) Wadsworth.

Second married John Palmer, son of John and Deborah (Fille) Palmer.

Third marriage to a Mr. Loomis (no sources other than FamilySearch and FindAGrave profiles).

Had just one child, Joseph Wadsworth, with husband Joseph.

Research Notes

• Some confusion with Find A Grave: Memorial #40240583, pretty sure this Jerusha did not marry a Mr. Skinner, or at least no sources seem to support that.
  • Removed biography comment "Third married Daniel Skinner, son of John and Rachel (Pratt) Skinner."

• Fact: http://familysearch.org/v1/LifeSketch Timothy, Jr. was born 30 Jul 1724; he married Sarah Talcott 31 Jan 1743. They settled in Windsor, Connecticut, where he died 19 Dec 1766 (1786?). They had three children. 1) Timothy was born 3 Jun 1750 and first married Anna Robinson; he married second Hannah Webster. They lived in Torrington, Ct. 2) Their son George was born 30 Sep 1753. 3) Esther was born 23 May 1756; she married Giles Loomis.

The book, "Phelps Family of America," includes these three additional children--but it also states Timothy died in 1766. So, unless this is a typo, these remaining three children could not be his. Anna baptized 20 Dec 1776; Rosa baptized 18 Dec 1778; and Timothy baptized 17 Aug 1780.

Find A Grave claims that he also married Jerusha Bissell and claim he lived until 1786, dying at age 62. (The photo of the headstone cannot be read.) However, Find A Grave also states that Jerusha Bissell Loomis married Ensign Mr. Timothy Loomis, 3 Nov 1763 as his second wife. This may have been her second marriage as well. They had no issue together. She died 14 Oct 1813. See Jerusha KCLD-FF9 There is another Jerusha Bissell Jerusha Bissell KTNL-VV5 born in 1721, the daughter of Daniel Bissell. Find A Grave names Joseph Wadsworth as a first husband for Jerusha, and names a John Palmer. On the FamilySearch Tree, this Jerusha has these two husbands, and also a first husband as Samuel Wolcott--but no Timothy Bissell. This page does note a conflict in parents of Jerusha Bissell. Two different Jerusha Bissells--need to sort out the husbands and resolve Find A Grave information.
