Thomas was born on the 4 May 1774 in the City of Dunfermline, on high ground 3 miles (5 km) from the northern shore of the Firth of Forth, in the Parish of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. He was the son of Thomas (Bisset/ Bizet) and Elisabeth (Mercer), who married on the 18 December 1772 at the Dunfermline Abbey (Dunfermline Parish Church), St. Margaret's Street, in the City of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland[1].
His baptism takes place on the 8 May 1774 at Dunfermline Abbey (Dunfermline Parish Church), St. Margaret's Street, in the City of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland[2].
Thomas (Bisset) marries Helen "Nelly" (Lowson/Lawson) on the 11 November 1805 at Dunfermline Abbey (Parish Church), St. Margaret's Street, in the City of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland[3].
On Thomas' Death Record in 1841, his occupation is recorded as being a Weaver.
On the 24 January 1841, Thomas (Bisset) passes away from a Fever at Campbell Street, in the City of Dunfermline, Parish of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland at the age of 67 years old. His surname, however, is spelt as "Bissett" on the Record[4]. His burial takes place around the 27 January 1841 at the Old Burying Ground, Dunfermline Abbey, St. Margaret's Street, in the City of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland[5].
