Maria Elisabetha (Bitter) Prinz was a Volga German.

Maria Elisabetha Bitter was born 10 Dec 1835 in Lauwe, Samara, Russia to Johann Heinrich Bitter and Maria Charlotte Steiglitz. She was baptized on 12 Dec 1835 in Lauwe to godparents: Johann Michael Grasmück, Johann Heinrich Fuchs, Anna Elisabeth Bitter and Maria Margaretha Steiglitz.^[1]

She married Johann Michael Printz after 1850 and before 1857, as she is listed as his spouse by 1857 in Lauwe. She is listed in the 1857 Lauwe census at age 21, married.

Maria Elisabetha Prinz died in Lauwe sometime after 1864.

Johann Michael Prinz's children were born from 1864 through 1881 and he remarried after Maria Elisabeth passed. Given DNA matches, Maria Elisabeth had at least one child Johann Michael Prinz prior to her death. It is possible Heinrich Prinz is her child as well but DNA would have to be matched.
