Biography

Maria Magdalena (sometimes seen as Margaret) Bixler was born 16 September 1803 in Pennsylvania.[1]

The Brubacher family was living in Mahaska County, Iowa in 1850.[2] The household included Daniel Sr and Magdalene, as well as their children Emanuel, Matilda, Ireleane, John, Daniel, Valentine, Nancy, and Rebecca. Daniel Sr, Emanuel, and John were farming. Daniel Sr had $2500 in real estate.

In 1856, the Brubakers were living in Harrison, Mahaska, Iowa.[3] Daniel Sr. was farming. The household included Daniel Sr, Magdalena, Julia Ann, John, Daniel, Valentine, Nancy, Rebecca, and Susan Jane.

The Brubakers were still in Harrison in 1860.[4] The household included Daniel Sr and Magdalene, as well as their children Valentine, Nancy, Rebecca, Susan, and a Henry Harper.

Magdalena died October 26, 1863 in Mahaska County, Iowa.[1] She is buried in Highland Cemetery, Eddyville, Mahaska County, Iowa.[1]
