He was born on 21 Mar 1888 in Lyon County, Kansas, USA and his parents were Josephine E. (Frone) and James Willett Bixler.

Thurman started in 1911 in the bottling business. He produced the “Bixler’s Famous Soda Water”. It was varied favored soda water and fruit juices.

Thurman J. Bixler was a 20th century entrepreneur who bottled fruit soda and flew planes around the city with his brothers.

Thurman had inventions patented in 1918, like the “T. J. Bixler Automatic Bottle Feed“, a labor saving device used in bottling factories.

T. J. Bixler's famous sodas included "Extra Fine" and "Made with Polar Distilled Water."

He died on 15 Mar 1970 in Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas, USA and was buried there at Hutchinson Eastside Cemetery. [1]
