Biography
Father's name may have been "Abraham Bixler" per Honeyman & McDaniel (1998). Three children ID'ed by Honeyman and Family Search.
John and wife Margaret "owned a 105 acre farm in ... Darke Co [OH] ... and [another] 44 ½ acres adjoining to the east ... They were not enumerated in the 1820-30-40 census ... so it is unresolved how many chidren were in the family. In both 1850-60 [granddaughter] Lavina Bixler was in their home ... Both John and Margaret were enumerated in the 1880 census" (Honeyman).
Burial has not been located.
